The client opted to launch the application first for the iPhone as their users matched the demographics of their target audience. R A Creative provided us with the design and information architecture and our development team built the back end.
The application itself utilised web services to download information on the products, stores and stock availability. To ensure a fast user experience, images and production information were cached into the application memory and only updated when it was in use, creating a smooth user experience. This project shows that by utilising web services and the functionalities within the iPhone you can create a native application to expand your ecommerce presence.
